葉上達 (Yè shàngdá ) - Paintings

上達 (Yè shàngdá ws born in 1975 in Taipei, Taiwan. He first took an interest in art at the age of 13 when I Godmother took him to art class. From there on he did not look back. His interest grew the point he wanted to make it into a life long career. He studied Taiwan National University for Arts and graduated in 2005 and after became a teacher working at the lotus atelier in Taipei.
However his life changed and he developed a mysterious illness in 2004 which continued for one year. During that time he felt debilitated it was only though esoteric means that he was cured. This eventuality that led him on a on a spiritual journey where he became a Falung gong practitioner which has not only helped restore his health but has an influence of his art and disciplines towards it.
He is exceptional a realist painter with a conscience. His spirituality encompasses his work and also has influenced him in touching some controversial subjects
