 MinLung is from Duliou, Yulin County, Taiwan. He is a prolific artist and developed a passion that started at the age of 10 years old where by an art teacher remarked on his talent. From then on he did not look back and sort a career in art. His journey took him to New York where his major was is computer graphics (3D animation) at the Pratt Institute.
Once he qualified he started working in America and his aim was to stay there indefinitely. However events were to change his life forever. In September 21st 1999 an earthquake occurred in Taiwan and his home town and many of the surrounding areas were destroyed in Yulin County. He feared for his family's life and also his friends. It was a terrible time for all.
Having heard the news he quit his job and headed back to his home town to witness the deluge for himself. It was a trying time for all and he helped his family rebuild their home. From then a new appreciation for developed for the love of Taiwan and especially his home town where he still lives to this day. Not only did he change but his art changed with it. He decided to focus on his love of realism and now enjoys plaine air painting and drawing from life.

MinLung manages to capture the wonderful light of Taiwan and it's beauty. He is skilled not only as a landscape artist  but also in, still life and figurative painting.
