Helen Broadfoot - Paintings

Helen trained at the Vancouver School of Art (now known as Emily Carr). Following several years doing non-profit painting for peace and fundraising for Medcines Sans Frontiers (MSF) she began anew with her own career.

Much of her work is figurative, but she gives free rein to her imagination. Subjects have usually been people or animals and the challenge has always been to catch an expression or evoke an emotion.  Realistic painting in oil is her current medium and style.

Helen works and lives on the Sunshine Coast in Pender Harbour, British Columbia, Canada.  She paints full time on a daily basis. In the summer, she takes a little time to sail the wonderful waters of British Columbia.

Helen's work is exceptional. She exudes and inner beauty and grace that is present within her work. Her work reflects her love of nature and wildlife. Her landscapes allow the viewer to delve in and enjoy the countryside as she does. The depiction of wildlife is full of character and charm. Helen's portraits are also quite special she is able to capture the essence of the subjects. She is also an advocate of fellow artists and supports them also.
